Cradley Church, An Historical Tour

The Organ

A gift of the Rector, Rev. Edward Renn Hampden in 1874, this fine parish church organ was made by John Nicholson of Worcester to the specification of Sir Frederick Gore-Ouseley, founder of St. Michael’s College Tenbury, the famous Victorian choir school. It was designed to fit perfectly the arch to the north aisle in which it sits, and replaced a harmonium previously in the chancel.
