Added to the church to replace the west gallery in 1870, a series of columns supports the roof and separate the north aisle from the main nave. This area houses the choir vestry, the Aumbry and the Lady Chapel, used for smaller services, together with the Mothers’ Union banner, and a framed tapestry of the Last Supper.
The Thomas Bisse display is also in the north aisle. Dr. Thomas Bisse was born in 1675 and died in 1731. This display, installed in 2019, outlines his life and his role in the development of the Three Choirs Festival.
