The east window commemorates Thomas Webb, the world-famous Stourbridge crystal glass maker who retired to Cradley and died in 1869. It shows scenes from the Resurrection of Christ; in the centre the angel tells the three Marys at the tomb that Jesus has risen, and points upwards to Jesus and above him the Holy Spirit. Surrounding Jesus are the sleeping soldiers. On the left Mary Magdalene encounters Jesus in the garden, and on the right “Doubting Thomas” puts his hand into Jesus’s wound. The Latin inscription reads “He is risen, as He said. Allelulia.”
