The window on the north side of the chancel commemorates the Reverend Thomas Ayscough, Rector from 1892 to 1917, his wife Ethel and their eldest son Francis. It is a fine example of the work of A.J. Davies of the Bromsgrove Guild and was commissioned by Francis’s widow Florence Wheeler (a famous Chinese scholar) and installed in 1936. It shows St. Francis preaching to the birds, surrounded by birds and animals, some hiding in the beautiful flowering bushes, and with a flight of angels above him.
